| We have, over the years, helped several major clients to assemble important Chinese Silver collections and many of the objects that we have owned appear in the few books that have been written on the subject, the most recent of which is Chinese Export Silver, by Alan Marlowe. The author, along with us, continues to take a keen interest in this field, and we are always excited to be able to add to the existing knowledge by identifying new makers and shopkeepers who were working in Canton, Shanghai and Hong Kong in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
